If you are considering buying a home in Chandler Arizona, you’ll find if you do enough looking around that Chandler has a lot to offer if you choose to live there.
For those of you who don’t know where Chandler is located, it is a suburb on the southeast side of Phoenix about 20 minutes drive time to downtown with no traffic. If you ask anyone from Chandler you’ll find out that it is a relaxed atmosphere with very close proximity to all of Phoenix’s cultural venues.
From living in an apartment to exclusive gated communities you can find town homes with no yards to homes with large lots and even horse properties to choose from. The reason for the wide variety of properties is because Chandler literally is on the outer edge of the Phoenix metro area. With so many types of properties and home values you can literally use just about any type of financing available from veteran home loans to Conventional jumbo mortgages.
Additionally, Chandler has been coined the “Silicon Valley” of Phoenix with companies like Intel, Paypal, Ebay, and Microchip all having offices within the city limits. Because of these employment centers property values tend to hold their value better than some of the other bedroom communities around Phoenix. Not that Chandler has escaped the decline in home prices that has hit the Phoenix area since 2007 – and the rest of the US, but that Chandler hasn’t seen quite the decline as other locations around the Phoenix metro area. Chandler has great schools, shopping, restaurants, hospitals and its very own Chandler Center for the Arts which makes it a wonder choice to live in for singles to families with children to active adults.
One final comment to say about Chandler (although there is so much to say about Chandler), if you are looking to get out of town for a day trip or taking off for an extended vacation – just about anywhere you live in Chandler you can reach one of the major freeways. With such easy access to roads out of town, it’s a snap to head south for the 1.5 hour drive to Tucson for the day, and the 3.5 hour drive to the White Mountains – Show Low – Pine Top area for the weekend.
